Women

Every year in the U.S., thousands of women are victims of domestic violence, serving as the primary cause of homelessness. In major cities throughout California, there can be as many as 500 women and children per day in need of shelter and statistics show that being homeless makes families vulnerable to other forms of trauma such as physical and sexual assault, violence or abrupt separation. These experiences have widespread effects on the health and well-being of all members of the family.

Take a moment and explore how each of these charities are making a difference in the local community by providing much needed support to those in need.
